woke up half past eleven, ate half a pizza with william and went to the studio where lewis already had put up cabs, microphones and figured out the maddest guitartone. we recorded all of the first guitar and set the tone for the second guitar before we called it quits and met up with sam.

UP RIVER JOIN ANCHORS AWEIGH RECORDS
Up River began in early 2011 in Brighton, playing passionate and honest music.
Even if the South of England has always been home of many awesome artists, the band itself never felt like being part of a scene or a movement :
”The hardcore scene in the UK is a complete gimmick, alot of bands seem to only want to write music that isn’t natural, there are barely any that have any heart and a lot of the ones that have passion and work hard get sidelined and become shadowed” says Harry Huntington, bassist.
Up River will be realeasing their first seven inch called “Rough Ground” through us and we couldn’t be any more stoked about it.
Black Sails Design took care of the album artwork for the release already, more details about pre orders and release date will be announced soon.

”Being apart of a label like Anchors Aweigh is something I had dreamed about, growing up and watching bands like Dead Swans and November Coming Fire was an outlet for me. We always knew how hard they work, Andre had spent the past years putting a lot of time and effort into bands futures including his own which is something very special. We were immediately drawn to them because of the diversity of the bands on the label, we liked how it wasn’t just one type of genre, there’s artists on there that are extremely talented and that have influenced a lot of bands coming up today including us.
